Kunna Logistics would like to inform all shippers and freight forwarders that, as per the directive from the Ministry of Ports and Marine Transport of the Federal Republic of Somalia (Ref. No. XW/WDGB/89/09/2025, dated 30 September 2025), the Electronic Cargo Tracking Note (ECTN) will be mandatory for all shipments arriving at Somali ports effective 14 October 2025.
Key Requirements:

Every Bill of Lading must display a valid ECTN number.

No cargo without an approved ECTN will be accepted for loading or discharge at any Somali port.

To avoid shipment delays and penalties, it is strongly advised to initiate the ECTN process at least 5 days prior to vessel departure.
